Dear Paris,

465

Dear Paris,

When your daddy left this world I, like so many others around the globe, was devastated.   I’ll forever remember exactly where I was, what I was doing, and precisely the feelings of disbelief and surrealism I experienced at the moment I heard the news.

In the ensuing days, I spent countless hours trying to find out why this wonderful human being was now gone.  I read every news article I could get my hands on.  Every blog.  I “Googled” his name incessantly in an effort to make some sense of it all.  And while I found no peace in the things that I read, nor any answers or justification, I found one common emotion amid the chaos: those who loved your daddy were fiercely devoted to you and your brothers, and the love they had for your daddy was now overflowing onto his children.

But that love had nowhere to go.

And that’s why I created this site: so that the love has a place to go.

Your daddy taught us, by his example, that it’s more important to share love than to receive it.

You are so very loved, Paris.  Your brothers are, too.

You are not alone.  Not now, and not ever.

Choose your friends wisely.  Give more love than you receive.  Know that you are precious in your own right, and above all always know that you are loved for exactly who you are: YOU.  Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson.  There is only one person exactly like you in the whole world, and there will never be another one.

God bless you and keep you.  Be true to yourself and your values, and never underestimate your ability to be the change you want to see in the world.

Love, Laura

  1. Diane says:

    Dear Paris, Prince, and Blanket,

You were so awesome last night at the Grammy’s. Paris, you are beautiful and Prince you are a total Doll Baby! You kids are the luckiest kids in the world to have had Michael as your daddy! The rest of us adored him on such a different level. You knew him as none of the rest of the world ever could. He was a wonderful man and I have loved him for 40 years. I am so glad he was in my lifetime and feel sorry for the people who will never have that opportunity. Ignore the haters and the bashers of Michael for stupidity runs rampant in some people. I will NEVER forget your dad and the happiness he brings into my heart with his music and watching him perform. Always, in your lifetime, do things to continue making your daddy proud!!! I will always love Michael and will never forget about him. Love and much support, Diane

  2. Leanne says:

    Dear Paris,

You don”t know me, and I don’t know you. I know who you are……you are the daughter of my idol, Michael Jackson.
I have loved your Daddy since as long as I can remember. His music brought me joy. His message gave me hope.

I just want you to know, that my prayers were with you and your brothers when your daddy passed.

I also want you to know, that although many miles separate us, I live in Australia, I was thinking of you Prince, and blanket all day today while I was at work.

I didn’t get to watch the grammys on tv, but I knew that you would be accepting this award. As soon as I got home, I searched the internet to see how you both went.

This must have been so hard for you and Prince, but at the same time, such a proud moment, to be receiving a honor that was long overdue to your Daddy.

You both did so well. I cried, as I am a Mother and I was just so proud of you both as I’m sure you Daddy was, watching over you.

I pray for you and all of your extended family every night.

You never hear my prayers, but I do hope that you and your brothers feel the love that I and all of your Dads fans send to you everyday.

    God bless you all. xxxxxxxxxx

Dear Paris, It was such a joy to watch you, your brother Prince and your cousins receive such a deserving award for your precious daddy. Just hearing you call his name, “Daddy” is so moving. No one says it like you, with such passion. I can hear how much you love him. It was nice to hear your brother mention Grandma and Grandpa too. Your outfits looked so gorgeous on you. I will miss your daddy until the day I die, and beyond. When I pass Forest Lawn Dr. on the fwy, I always wish I could visit your daddy. The next time you go visit him, please give him a little extra love from me. xox Stay strong little Jackson!

Dear Paris, it was great seeing you and Prince accepting the award on behalf of your father. You looked beautiful and so did Prince! What great outfits you wore! I was impressed by how composed you seemed even though you must have been so nervous! Please remember it is a tough world and your daddy had to endure a lot of pain, but at the same time there are millions of people that are wishing you the best life you can possibly have and hope you continue to spread the message of love your father dedicated his life to. Much love to you and your brothers.
